July, 15, 2011, Providence RI- Yap had an amazing evening with their video premier “Walk with Me.” Standing room only, these youth had a chance to debut all of their hard work in their latest video shot and directed by Ben “First B” Gilbarg of New Bedford’s Third Eye Unlimited.   To check out the video go to:

Community organizers and members arrived at the Corson Maritime Learning Center to get on the red carpet and support these youth.  Backed by the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park, this project has been ongoing- allowing youth to explore their city’s rich history through music.

It is an endeavor that Frank Barrows has been working on for some time in partnership with Ben “First B” Gilbarg. As well as educating youth about their history, they are also using hip hop to  encourage others to “Get outside and Move.”  In an age that has become increasingly more technological it is so refreshing to see youth get us outside and appreciating our environment and surroundings. It is a movement well needed. To see more pictures from the premier head to:

Thanks to all of you for your support and keep up the good work YAP!
