Hello world!

Posted: March 4, 2011 in Uncategorized

Welcome to our New Blog! YAP! Wants to keep you informed and involved as we build our program. What are we about? Well let us tell you…

New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park in collaboration with 3rd EyE Unlimited is conducting a new program for local youth to engage their peers in the rich history of New Bedford as a means to instill a sense of pride to today’s youth about where they’re from and what it means to be a global citizen.

The Youth Ambassador Program (YAP) is made up of a team of motivated young people who communicate with their fellow peers about New Bedford’s diverse history through music and video.

We are hoping that this model will spread to all people to begin to use youth and music to discover “Everywhere we go!” We will continue to create outstanding music, video, art, and other forms of media to communicate historical and national park themes in a fun and engaging way.

We hope that you will follow our lead and let the world know about where you are from and help us all to link together to make a new world telling the stories that have not been told!
